Mt. Institute aka Berkshire East Ski Area aka Thunder Mountain Bike Park.
Ascended via the Mohawk ski trail and descended via the Roundabout ski trail (gravel work roads). Lots of mountain bike trail crossings, but generally no biking allowed on the ski trails for more than a few feet at a time. Trails were dry and in good shape.
Very neat to see the new lift served mountain bike park, which is reportedly the best in the northeast. Extremely nice trails built by a company from Whistler Canada. Don't attempt to hike the bike trails, though, as there are bikers flying down them!
Also lots of zipliners, mountain coaster riders, and whitewater rafters around. |
