| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Minimal parking on Pattison RD. I parked right by the entrance to the AT going North. |
|

Dry Trail, Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth, Wet Trail, Ice - Blue, Ice - Breakable Crust, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular, Slush, Snow/Ice - Small Patches |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
All bridged with man made bridges and bog bridges. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
I moved one large piece of a blowdown as it tried to spear me in the thigh... Figured if it was going to do it to me, someone else might get hurt too. So, I fixed it. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Isis loved the colder temps and the trails were easy for her. The AT is great for dogs as it's well worn and easy to travel. |
|
| Bugs: |
None today. |
|
| Lost and Found: |
One piece of a trekking pole at the crossing with Notch Rd. I left it standing by a tree. |

| Comments: |
While this day I intended to go to Mt. Greylock, heading to Mt. Williams was just as nice. I missed the southbound trail to Greylock from Mt. Williams so we had turned ourselves back. By the time I realized it, I didn't want to retrace my steps. We headed to the shelter for a snack and back to the outlook on Mt. Prospect. Coming back, we ran into a porcupine so, off leash dogs take care. All in all a day well spent on the AT. |
