Recommended Equipment: Light Traction
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All bridged with man made bridges and bog bridges.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: I moved one large piece of a blowdown as it tried to spear me in the thigh... Figured if it was going to do it to me, someone else might get hurt too. So, I fixed it.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Isis loved the colder temps and the trails were easy for her. The AT is great for dogs as it's well worn and easy to travel.
Bugs
Bugs: None today.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: One piece of a trekking pole at the crossing with Notch Rd. I left it standing by a tree.

Comments
Comments: While this day I intended to go to Mt. Greylock, heading to Mt. Williams was just as nice. I missed the southbound trail to Greylock from Mt. Williams so we had turned ourselves back. By the time I realized it, I didn't want to retrace my steps. We headed to the shelter for a snack and back to the outlook on Mt. Prospect. Coming back, we ran into a porcupine so, off leash dogs take care. All in all a day well spent on the AT.
