Passable via rock hopping. |

Caution: Both Wapack Trail and Midstate Trail are wet/frozen in isolated areas. No blowdowns. |

Lots of dogs; very friendly and well-behaved. |

It was a great morning on Mount Watatic. Unlimited views from the summit and it's good to see hikers and bikers going out and getting some fresh air. However, I wish "trail etiquette" was more commonly understood by casual hikers. E.g. - there's enough mountain for everybody...give each hiker some space on the trail. If you're closing in on someone uphill, slow down or take a break, if they don't do so first. It's not a race, the mountain isn't going anywhere. Just a pet peeve of mine. All in all, a wonderful day hike. Check out the video link below to see for yourself. |
