Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Sunday, June 3, 2018
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Plenty of parking at Plain Road lot in Wayland, on MRCT just west of Wayland/Weston line.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Old RR bridge (abandoned after Hurricane of '38) over the Sudbury River.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails through Jericho Town Forest neatly maintained by Weston Trails Committee. MRCT is a smooth dirt track from there to Russell's Garden Center in Wayland, where it ends at present. Old RR track to E. Sudbury is reasonably good for 1.4 mile, but ended in blowdowns and brush just before the old E. Sudbury RR substation.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Plenty.
Bugs
Bugs: Hardly any. My clothes were permethrin-treated so absence of ticks may not be significant.
Lost and Found

Comments
Comments: Bay Circuit Trail - Alternate and Proposed stretches
