Trail Maintenance Notes: All great.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Not so many on the Skyline Trail, which is the only real hiking trail in the Western Fells and rocky in places, but plenty elsewhere.
Bugs
Bugs: Annoying little midges for a while around 2 pm on the west side of the Reservoirs. Just keep moving and I don't think they bite.

The 8-mile Skyline Trail hits about every highpoint in the Western Middlesex Fells. Just 8 miles but over 1.5K vertical, which is lot for the Flatlands.
