Comments
Comments: Attempted Saddleback. Made it to treeline but the wind was just too much for me (40 to 50 mph)so I headed back down to my vehicle and drove to Route 17 to hike a section of the AT that I had not been on for many years. Route 17 north to Sabbath Day Pond. Temps. from 60 to 75, windy most of the day, sunny. Saw 2 snakes on the trail and 3 loons on Sabbath Day Pond. Many NOBO's and some section hikers. Met the caretaker at Piazza Rock Campsite, nice guy with a great summer job.
