Comments
Comments: From the park headquarters we road walked for about 6 miles on Chemin Gosford until connecting with Chemin de la Grive, then 1.5 miles to the end of this road (sand pit at the end). 2"-3" of fresh powder on a packed snow machine base on both roads. Bare booted for 1st six miles. At end of Ch de la Grive followed trail past the moose swing, turned right, crossed frozen brook/swampy area for 10 yds and found ATV sign with Cowboy with Rifle sign. ATV tr was steep and very easy to follow right to the border swath, approximately 1.5 miles. Followed border swath to summit. Total walk was about 21 miles on very good snow surface without the usual BW issues.
