I hiked with Jim from MountainGuideService and had a fantastic hike. I found it fun to hike with such an accomplished hiker. We hiked up Sugarloaf before they opened which was fairly easy. The AT and Spur trails were not broken out but they now have had 4 pair of snowshoes on them with the out and back hike. There are a fair number of blowdowns along the AT, be careful of the spruce traps as you navigate them. Beautiful views from Spaulding with the additional 6 feet of snow pack. |
