This is my A.T. section and I cleared 38 small blowdowns with a handsaw and many branches on the trail. There are 5 big blowdowns that I trimmed the branches so that they are stepovers. I will go back soon with my chainsaw to clear them out of the trail. |

| Comments: |
A really nice day for trail work on my section of the A.T. Temps from 45 to 70 with blue sky and a few clouds. I saw no hikers today but heard an owl hooting and saw a woodpecker and 2 ducks on the West Branch of the Penobscot river. There was no snow to be seen on this section of the trail as it is at roughly 600 feet of elevation and gets a lot of sun along the river. Katahdin was snow covered and looked great with the blue sky as a background. |
