Trail Maintenance Notes: A professional crew has been through the Mahoosucs, so the blow-down catastrophe is mainly resolved. Trails are in good shape. Sunken bog-bridges on some of the summits.

This was the second day of a backpack (see other posts for first day/thrid day). The notch was dry and the snow/ice was reduced to small patches and spots in deep holes; as passable as it ever is. I made the bushwhack to the high point (north peak) of fulling mill mtn. It is short, but thick. I also took a side trip to the plane crash on success. The herd path is very well worn and leaves the AT, just before you go down into the trees when headed sobo of of success. It hits the AT corridor and follows it to the plane, which is on the corridor (on of the yellow blazes is painted on the wing. I stayed at Gentian Pond.
