| Dog-Related Notes: |
Was hiking with my mom's pup, she had a great time.
Saw someone's hunting dog wearing a tracking antenna right at the base of the Spaulding Side Trail. He growled and retreated from us into the woods. We had heard him howling on our way from Sugarloaf to Spaulding. |

| Comments: |
We went up the ski trails because we were not sure about the ford on the Carrabassett. This was steep and rough, the AT was probably an easier route. The AT between Sugarloaf Mt. Trail and Spaulding was a really nice trail along the ridge line. Gorgeous views of surrounding peaks in all directions. |
