Comments
Comments: Very cold start at -18 deg at 6am. Pulled sleds carrying our skis and packs while wearing microspikes for the first 8.8 miles, then changed out to snowshoes for the herd path/bushwhack to the summit. Wore skis for most of the way back to the car. Caribou pond road and logging roads were packed out by snowmobiles. Thanks to Jason and Liz for newly breaking trail 2 days ago and giving us some helpful information. Although it was a very cold start, we warmed up quickly and there was little wind. A beautiful day to finish our 67 winter.
