Comments
Comments: Started at 7:15am at about 30 degrees. The CVR was hard packed mud and ice and we made quick time to the AT. Microspikes to both summits. Lots of postholing but still easier than snowshoes. Still 2-3 feet of snow on the trail past the Cirque campsite. Some ice up past the Cirque but pretty easy to navigate around. Temps jumped up to low 50's by the time we made the CVR on the way out. The road was a mud pit so glad we didn't drive in.
