Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: First crossing was a little challenging. Look downstream to a downed tree. I took off my shoes and went in. All others easily done.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Some usual stepovers, and a couple of blowdowns. MATC does a phenomenal job.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Gracie handled it well. Even the talus field. Thanks to the few folks we ran in to that were respectful to her with her anxiety about strangers. Looking forward to obedience for our new girl.
Bugs
Bugs: Suprisingly few. Headnet stayed in my pocket.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Someones water bottle with a lot of hiker stickers on it. Left it on the trail sign.

Comments
Comments: Great day out with my newish hiking dog. Superb summit. There was enough wind and rain moving in that I didn't hang out too long. Did a little long distance recon for a section hike of Saddleback to Crocker.
