The Caribou Pond Road is unmarked, but easy to find - about 0.8 miles west of Sugarloaf. One bridge has some holes in it, and one culvert pipe has some big potholes right beside it. Otherwise, easy driving. |

The bushwhack to Redington isn't much of a bushwhack. I'd been worrying about it for several weeks, but it's both blazed with several colors of surveyor's tape and has a pretty worn-in tread. It would be hard to lose for an experienced hiker. Just to be safe, I also had a GPS track from peakbagger. My route followed it exactly. All the turns on the logging roads on the way down are easy - just keep heading downhill. |
