Parking: room for a dozen plus and some spots near the trailhead...gravel road leading in for about 6 miles is narrow in places, especially approaching the trailhead.. |

former fire tower peak, now has cell phone tower with observation deck for hikers to check out the great view..can ID mts. in NH from Kearsarge North around to the Carters, Presis, Mahoosucs plus mts in ME in front of those ridges...also the ME AT mts in the Rangeley/Stratton area...rocky trail for the most part, a leg burner for a good part of it, but only 1.6 miles..saw lots of families hiking late AM..Mt. Blue State Park, campground on Webb Lake is very popular.. |
