Comments
Comments: Probably the toughest trail I've been on, and this is specifically for the chimney section. This chimney laughs at Osceola. There is a rope, and you'll need to use it. Coming down was significantly tougher in that section, just kinda had to throw my legs over the edge and hope that I blindly found something to land on a few feet below. Plenty of other fun sections on this trail as well. The summit was a letdown as it's pretty wooded, though you can get a look to the east to the south. The real money shots are from viewpoints on the way up over the Moosehead Region, pretty spectacular. I should also mention that even finding the trailhead is difficult. It isn't signed very well, save for a small sign nailed to a tree which is facing in the opposite direction most peeps would be travelling from. There is some orange flagging, so that is what you should be looking for. One more note - the road labeled "South Little Spencer" is nothing more than a logging road. DO NOT TAKE THAT! The trailhead you want is a few tenths of a mile further along on the right.
