Comments
Comments: Some of the rocks at the Stratton Pond outlet are still under water but not by much. Waterproof high top boots would have been fine. We opted for barefooting this one. Still was an easy crossing. Some water and mud left over from recent rains on all trails. The Fire Wardens trail had some running water in places but we had no problem staying dry. Beautiful fall day foliage must be peak or just past. We could see Katadin to the north and Washington to the southwest.
