Comments
Comments: Finished off my last New England 4k footers over the weekend. Ended on West Peak and headed over to the South Horn to work on my NEHH list. Conditions weren't bad. Windy up above tree line and clouds blew in after I left Avery peak, but the trail was in overall good shape. All ice was avoidable and I left my spikes in my bag the whole way. Threw on gloves to use my hands on the snowy rocks on the short jaunt out to Avery Peak. Beautiful day and great temp to keep moving for around 13 miles. Bring orange because the hunting season is in full swing. Also, spikes may be a good idea for some sections in a few days if the snow melts and refreezes.
