Comments
Comments: Deja vu all over again. We wanted to take advantage of last weeks wanderings, knowing that there had been only more rain, a hard freeze and little new snow. There was a good granular crust the whole way. Some one had been in last week to North Brother from the At side packing things nicely and we had our tracks from last week on the AT to South and on the Redington Bushwhack. I made a rookie mistake coming down off the second plateau off South going straight and then cutting to far left. I realized it when I saw Spaulding and Abraham to my front and we corrected and came out on the snowmobile trail about 1/2 mile from our familiar bushwhack point. Wayne got us back up on to that plateau on our return nicely and then we just had to walk out. Very cold start, although we were in the trees all day not a lot of warm up or the ability to stop. Footbed is 2-3 feet about the norm so ate a lot of spruce and took a lot of head knocks. 8th time on the ridge in the last calendar year. Beginning to feel like home.
