Little Bigelow via Dead River AT access
It was a rough hike on February 25. Monorail is unstable, ice pack is unstable, slippery conditions. Attempted summit with crampons with a lot of falling they into 4-5' snow. Followed a moose up the trail who had as much issue as is with falling, landing in deep unstable snow, etc. tree blazes are finally uncovered, trail easy to follow with blowdowns at several locations. |
