Comments
Comments: Followed the blue trail along the pond to the junction with the blue and white trail and followed that to the summit ridge. Thick carpet of fallen leaves and lots of running water made for slippery walking. Wet ledges were very slimy. Nice views from the summit ridge ledges, near the towers. Keep heading south past all the towers, along the ridge to continue on the blue and white trail. The trail drops off the southern end of the ridge and turns back northward before reaching an un-signed junction with the white trail, which continues to sidehill along the contour. I chose to continue descending the blue and white trail. Blazes were quite faint, requiring close attention to trail finding. I eventually completely lost the trail in a dense thicket of saplings in a logging clearing and bushwhacked from there down to the pond, where I re-joined the blue trail. I followed the blue trail back along the pond, passing the junction with the white trail at a campsite, and then the junction with the blue and white trail. Beautiful blue sky day with loons calling on the pond.
