| Bugs: |
The mosquitoes ruled the forest today, from the second I got out of my car until the end of the hike I had a swarm of about 40 + mosquitoes following me. There was no respite the entire day, they were relentless. Bring bug spray or your hike will not be fun. I was really wishing I had a mosquito net. Also watch out for ticks, do not stand stationary in the grass, only on rock. I brushed off 3 or 4 ticks. They move fast! |

Awesome hike, first real hike of the year, besides the mosquitoes the hike was quite enjoyable. Nice view of the white mountains from the summit of Pleasant Mountain, also from the SW Ridge Trail. Best trail on the mountain! |
