Parked at Brickett Place. Plenty of spots in the lot. |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
We encountered a few water crossings-two of these crossings required us to take off our boots so we could wade across. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Parts of the trail showed signs of significant erosion. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Our dog enjoyed the hike and didn't have a problem with the water crossings. |

| Bugs: |
The black flies and mosquitoes were raging. We used bug spray which helped with the mosquitoes. |

| Comments: |
This hike took us by Mad River Falls which was beautiful and roaring with its huge water flow. This hike started out flat and mellow and then went up steeply and steadily until the top of East Royce. |
