Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: On my way up Cupsuptic Pond Road, a Boarder Patrol Officer questioned me. When I emerged from the swath in darkness at 9:30 PM, two Boarder Patrol officers were blocking me in, wanting to chat. I told them the route I had walked. They searched my pack and ran my license. They stated that the route I described was legal, however, they would pull camera footage in the morning to confirm. They threatened a $5000 fine if I was found to have entered Canada. The road will take just about any car to the national boarder swath.
