Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Easy for the Canines - met 10 along the trails today, there is no water along the entire length blueberry ridge trail and up to the speckled summit after the water crossing right near the beginning so bring some along; a few spots of water on Bickford brook beginning about 2 miles below the summit.

Bugs: A few out down low but not bothersome today

Comments
Comments: Looks like Even notch is getting popular, plan A was to hike Eastman but the baldface circle lot was full with cars lining Rte 113 for several hundred yards each way - easily 50+ cars there today! Opted to head a little further up Rte 113 and hike speckled which was a great choice - met a dozen other hikers all day. Took the loop Blueberry Ridge up and Bickford brook down. Trails all in great shape with perfect hiking weather and great views from the ledges along blueberry ledge and from the speckled summit. Always a great hike.
