| Comments: |
We walked the road until we were at the base of the drainage to the east of the peaks. We then headed up towards the east ridge of Merrill. We had initial open woods with regrowth, which transitioned to nice open woods all the way up to the ridge, along the ridge, and to the recognized highpoint. We continued in similar woods, at times tighter, to the recognized highpoint of Van Dyke. We headed down the south east ridge of Van Dyke, hitting some tighter woods and soon reaching the road. |
