Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All easy step overs with plenty of rushing water if you want to stop and filter.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: There is a spot several miles in that has a few massive blowdowns and you have to put a few extra minutes into figuring out how to navigate around them, but don't let it scare you. If you're that far into Puzzle already, you are probably totally capable of getting through it. Almost the whole trail is in great shape. Please tell your kids, dogs, buddies etc to walk AROUND and not on the lichen and moss whenever possible.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: I passed one dog who growled and barked as I went by. :( I thanked the owners for keeping him leashed.

Comments
Comments: The tiniest bits of ice were evident near the summit but the wet slab was all still just wet with water. Won't be long now! Could not see an snow across the way on Speck or the Pates yet either.
