The road coming in needs some mention. The beaver dam has broke free and there is a 15' stretch were you are driving through open water. It was solid. The section that is snowmobile trail in the winter has a fair amount of water damage and currently ice you have to take it slow. Due to the exposure very little snow until you get up about 2500-3000 feet. I put my spikes on about 1/3 mile below the stair case. The stair case is quite icy. Nice snow fall amounts ~ 2-4 up high. No one had been to Avery could see Soren's tracks over West. Met two ladies on the way up with no spikes. Passed them on the way down asked if they had lights they said yes and I left them to their struggles. As Wayne likes to say darkness happens after sunset. |
