Based on the weather forecast I decided to hike Pleasant Mount in Bridgton/Denmark. The trail was mostly barren ground with leaves, rocks, mud, ledge and dirt. Most of the mud was down low and most often had rocks to step on. There were very few small patches of snow on the trail. No need for traction today. Unfortunately the White Mountains were hidden in low clouds but nearby foothills and lakes (mostly ice covered) were visible. Met some other hikers on the trail. One group had ascended via Bald Peak Trail and reported icy conditions. |
