| Comments: |
the trails were in nice shape with quick going to start. once on the ascent of sentinel the grade steepened significantly and became rougher. i followed the summmit loop counter clockwise first enjoying fantastic views to oji, barren, kathadin then a great look to squaws bosom and doubletop. farther to the west the peaks of the moosehead region rose in the distance. it was a very nice hike around the summit loop to the higpoint. i finished the loop and followed the trails back out to kidney pond. |
