Comments
Comments: Followed old road from parking area and over the bridge shortly after, on left, then taking right turn at first junction thereafter, marked by yellow sign with black arrow and small wooden, machine carved lettered Snow Mtn Trail sign(to right of trail). Withing 75 yards, at a four way junction, ignore yellow sign/black arrow and head straight on road beyond a blowdown (also, there's a small handwritten sign with arrow, "Snow Mtn Pond"). This takes you to a four way road intersection. We weren't sure if this was the same road intersection mentioned in the 2010 trip report, this site, so we continued across, even though there was a small log laying across the trail on the far side of the road. The road/trail continued to the pond.

Bearing right on yet another very muddy and pooled road, we followed that around the pond, keeping 20 yards or so to the right (east) to avoid the water and intercept the trail to the summit. Found the summit trail, which after a bit took us across another logging road and on to the summit.

No view...socked in, light drizzle. New looking wood box canister next to remains of warden's cabin.

On return, took left onto first logging road (see 2010 report, this site) which took us back to the four way junction in a bit over a half mile. On future ascents, hikers should just take a right turn onto this road, and avoid the mud and standing water by the pond, plus save time and distance.
