Lots of fall foliage color left there and it looks gorgeous in the sunlight. Thx 1HappyHiker for the earlier post that put this one on our list. Trail was very dry, making it very easy although on the descent the heavy leaf bed almost made for its own slippery-ness. On ascent, the bypass trail to avoid the steeper bouldery section isn't marked but its to the right. Red Hill's observation tower was nice (albeit windy) but I was a little disappointed by the view there - rather overgrown.Eagle Cliff was well worth the visit. |
