Comments: It was windy at the trail head but the ridge was pretty calm and the temps were exceptional for this time of year. I was happy to see some gray jays on Mt Field and Mt Avalon. I had seen only 1 other all summer and fall. These 5 cleaned me out! Great day in the Whites.
