| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parked at Cabin trail parking area which is across from the trailhead. It's about .6 miles between this trailhead and Bickford's trailhead parking. Not a lot of spaces at either, more like roadside parking plus a little |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
The crossing just before Paugus trail & big rock cave trail intersection was tricky. I made it across with wet boots, 2 others took their shoes off. The crossing on Paugus trail on your way to Bickford trail had a length of steel grating placed across the worst of it and it was stable enough to step across easily with no slipping. Quite a chunk of steel |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A couple of decent size trees across the trail, none are hard to get around or under. I cleared most of the small stuff that had fallen. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Easy dog day, lots of water on the entire loop. Walk right by a couple of homes so leash them if need be. "No bear dog" signs are everywhere. muzzle load season opened today so keep that in mind. |

| Comments: |
An easy 5.6 mile loop that I had been meaning to do for a while now. The Big Rock Cave is pretty cool and worth exploring. Very quiet trails, we saw no one on this one. You walk very close to a couple of houses on Bickford trail, one of them literally through the middle of their property/driveway/garage area so keep your dogs close or leashed if they need it. |
