Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Removed 5-6 blowdowns on Rollins Tr. One nasty section remains 1/4 mile before summit of Whiteface but is passable. On Kate Sleeper, between Downes Brook and East Sleeper is barely passable. Cleaned up (not clear, but trail is apparent and mostly passable) but only made it 3/10 of a mile through the worst of the blowdown patch towards East Sleeper. This trail still needs a lot of work as many large blowdowns remain and the trail will be very difficult if not impossible to follow in winter. I hope to get out there again before winter - and hope others will as well. This is by far the worst mess of blowdowns I've seen since Sandy came through. Does anyone know who the trail adopter is? I'd love to get in touch re: more trail work.
Dog-Related Notes

Comments
Comments: Beautiful day. Trails were generally dry and fast. Just a bit of ice on upper sections of Passaconaway. I had hopes of clearing even more of the Kate Sleeper Tr but I ran out of daylight. That trail is one of my favorites and I hope it'll be clear before winter - but it's worse than I had anticipated even after reading LongMark's report.
