Nice 2-hour leg stretcher. Not surprisingly, saw no one else on trail/peak. Beautiful birch forest about halfway up. Frosted snow on evergreen branches further up made for a very Christmas-like scene. No snow on ground, tiny patches of icy sections but no need for traction. I wore trail runners w/wool socks and was fine (keeping in mind I got to only 2830 feet). |
