| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The last bit of road to the parking area would not be good for low clearance cars, due to rocks sticking up. The end of the maintained road has no parking signs, so I suspect one would have to park down by Bolles (sp) Road and walk. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
One stepover blowdown about .2 from the summit, about 6" in diameter. Not a pressing issue. Otherwise, trail is in good shape. Removed a deadfall blowdown up high. |

Black Mountain in Benton.
Trail was mostly dry and in good shape. Thank you to Hiking Goddess for her report, allowing me to leave the Microspikes behind and lighten my load for jogging.
Some minor black ice in a few places. One area of blue ice a few tenths below the summit, but easily bypassed. No need for traction until the next precip event. Slight dusting of snow up high.
For White Mountain standards, this trail has quite good footing virtually the whole way. |
