Comments
Comments: Was planning to do the Webster-Jackson loop but Webster Branch trail took longer than anticipated so settled for Webster only. We wore 1-inch crampons from the trailhead until after the brook crossing (bridged over) and short steep climb right after the Webster-Jackson junction. From there, wore snowshoes to the summit and changed back to the 1-inch crampons at the same location. There were 2 or 3 inches of new snow on the Webster Branch trail which we broke out with our snowshoes.

Snowshoes would also be needed on the Webster Cliff Trail between Webster and Jackson; new snow up there as of Monday afternoon. Very cold and windy at the summit of Webster, wore goggles and face mask, but rewarded with clear, sunny views to the north, west and south. To the east, it was cloudy; we could see Jackson but nothing beyond that. Great day to be out.
