Comments
Comments: Dicey's Mill trail the usual winter highway with firm footing. Down at lower elevations there were short stretches of dirt and rock. Some rocks and roots protruding above snow level. Beyond Rollins junction the snow depths improved although there were some icy spots.
Walden trail was icy in several spots with some glissading on steep sections. Saw some postholing.
East Loop in good shape.
Saw two hikers on the trail one of whom was Silver Fox.
Nice views of nearby Tripyramids, Tecumseh with the ski slopes, Chocorua. Views to the north limited by clouds with only the Hancocks and Signal Ridge visible. Did not bother to venture to the northern outlook but there were tracks on the side path. Great views south to the lake region and Gunstock ski area.
