Comments
Comments: Trailhead at 0945. One of us used micros the other crampons. Both worked fine though crampons marginally aggressive for this hike. Noted temperature drop and increased wind just downhill of conifers (near snowman). Some signs of moose nearby. Welcomed view at the fireplace 1245. Snowshoed between Starr King and Waumbek due to snow drifting. Peak of Waumbek at 1345. No view but protected from wind. No snowshoes or crampons on return trip and at parking area 1545 (6 hours). Great day - trail in good shape.
