The small water crossings were a little hazardous with ice on the rocks. Be very observant here or you could slip and fall in or get injured. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A lot of damage and branches down on the Cliff Trail. The Main Sign on the way to Pack Monadnock was laying on the ground. It is that big Tan Wood Colored Sign. Posts were rotted out. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw some great dogs today. The ice was really making it hazardous for them but they were all bushwhacking through the woods. |

| Comments: |
Got to the Trail Head at 7:00 a.m. with Bad Weather Dave. It was 10 degrees with little wind. The ice was quite hazardous all over the Wapack Trail and the Cliff Trail. Micro Spikes or Crampons are needed unless you go through the woods to avoid the ice like the people we saw were doing. The ice bulges were quite dangerous in spots if you fell and started sliding out of control. Cold all day. Warmed up to 24 degrees at 1:00. The Cliff Trail was a great challenge with all the ice today. NO SNOW on the Trail except for patches. The dogs were very friendly today and I liked the Husky and the Border Collie the best. |
