 | Comments: |
Good snowshoe track. Drifting of snow on bare summit obscured final stretch of snowshoe track. The trails to Mt Webster not yet broken. High snow depth completely covers all boulders. At lower elevations there are hardwood branch face slappers if one is not careful. Some section of trail involved ducking through an arboreal tunnel. Side paths to Bugle Cliff and Elephant Head are broken in.
Although clouds prevented views of Mt Washington, the hike was ideal since I only had the afternoon free for a hike. Saw a number of other hikers on the trail. Fed the gray jays at the summit. |
