We were the first on the trail this morning, and started in on snowshoes. It was very easy to find the trail initially, but there are so many blow downs in the trail, and blazes buried in the snow that just before Gem pool, we took several ventures to find the trail. (don't follow the meandering snow shoe tracks!) We ran into four gentleman on our way out going to Mt. Washington, etc., I would appreciate it greatly if one of you could post your progress today on the Ammonoosuc Trail or send me an email as you seemed quite determined to get there today in this beautiful weather! |
