| Comments: |
The trail was well-packed, and surrounding snow made a 6 inch wall to either side. Snowshoers preferred walking parallel to the path, in the more fluffy/sticky deep snow. Many of the steeper sections of the trail were very smoothed down as if someone had slid - the longest slide mark I saw was about 40 feet, even around fairly sharp curves. I don't blame them because the trail was so flume-like! Must've been a quick ride down. I am considering bringing a sled for next time... |
