Comments
Comments: Tin Mountain Conservation Center trail map helpful, but doesn't match the current trail network. There is now a yellow blazed trail from the parking lot to the first field. Above second field, lots and lots of blowdowns in the softwood stands. Found the trail blaze colors inconsistent and not necessarily representative of the map. Very little signage as well. Eventually found the southeast side of blue loop over Tin Mountain and was able to follow that with relative ease. Northwest of the summit, though, the trail disappeared in a mess of blowdowns, so I bushwhacked down and rejoined a yellow-blue blazed trail back to the main trail. Snowshoed the whole trip...slight crust in places, snow depths moderate underneath, but with snowshoes I only sank a few inches in unbroken areas.
