Comments
Comments: Trail well packed out up to the washout area. Beyond followed single skier and snow was not consolidated. Things got deeper on the climb by the Cascades and was loose and drifted up by the ponds. Was sinking in six to ten inches. Walked across Norcross Pond which is wind blown and well consolidated. Started up the herd path but turned up too early. The resulting Bushwack wasn't bad till close to the summit when I hit steep ledges. I was able to claw my way up. Found the path on way down and for much of the descent. Linked up again with my earlier track. If following my route, don't take the set of tracks heading right not long after beginning of herd path. The trail from the Ponds back is well broken now though still loose. Great hike!
