According to the trail maintenance log nobody had been on the trail since mid February. Once I got to the top of the Kedron Flume I could not find the trail after that. There were many large blowdowns in the area so the blazes may have been on them. I bushwhacked up to Ethan Pond Tr and followed that until the trail split to Ethan Pond. After that again the trail disappeared from lack of use and a lot of new snow. Again I bushwhacked up to the peak. I did see one blue blaze close to the top so I was close to the trail. No matter, the day was cloud free and mid 30s. Although the battery to my car was dead when I got back. I goy a ride to the Highland Ctr AMC and there was gentleman there that had a portable jump battery that took me back up and got car started. |
