Comments
Comments: Obviously excellent weather with readings above tree line Temp=22F Wind=30-40mph Wind Chill=0-5F Views forever, better appreciated above tree line with goggles or glacier glasses due to wind and sunshine. Very, very fine day! Above Mizpah Cutoff, trail branches into several bushwacks the most distinct of which leads to ~0.5 miles S of Pierce summit. Snow maybe ~5' deep. Above treeline to Ike, trail there, but quickly blown over by wind. Advice from Estimable Ed Hawkins, re: descent via Edmands Path; "Don't want to go there". Descent from Crawford Path trail sign at Pierce base is very indistinct, often bushwack, until angling to meet tracked 'path' lower down.
