Comments
Comments: Great day to do this traverse. Started sunny, clouded up for a bit, then got sunny again. Temps were comfortable, almost hot early on, but the winds made the more exposed portions chilly if we were stopped. The lower portions of the trail were a skating rink, spikes definitely necessary. The ledgy areas were a mix of bare rock and snow, very little ice. The open areas on the north end were mostly sticky spring snow. Snowshoes were the traction of choice for most of the higher elevation travel, spikes worked well in spots too. It may be spring, but there's still a lot of snow left to melt!
